Living As Community

“As a family united in the Lord’s name, a religious community is of its nature the place where the experience of God should be able in a special way to come to fullness and be communicated to others.” (Fraternal Life in Community)

Christ’s love has gathered us together to live a shared consecration and a common mission in the Church.  This gift of living as a spiritual family is a gift of the Holy Spirit.  Fraternal life is an expression of the Church herself – a sign of the exchange of love among Persons of the Most Holy Trinity – a place where we truly become sisters in Christ.  Daily, we grow in love of God and one another.

We are called to renew and strengthen our charism of communal charity and deepen our union of hearts through shared traditions such as attendance at Mass and reception of Our Lord, alive and present in the community to inspire it in its journey to the Father – by common recitation of the Divine Office; adoration before the Holy Eucharist to sustain and nourish our joyful evangelization and aid us in the discovering of Christ in the daily joys and challenges of community life; common use of goods, and fostering a climate of courtesy, friendship and respectful joy through conversation at communal gatherings and meals.
