Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Church

WHAT?
A “Come and See” Weekend is an occasion for young women to  experience the life of a religious Sister.  Attendees will have an opportunity to pray, discuss, work and recreate with the Sisters of Mary while they learn about the religious life.

WHO?      
Unmarried women ages 17—35 years of age who are interested in learning and experiencing consecrated life as a religious sister.

IMMACULATE HEART RETREAT CENTER & CONVENT

WHEN?    Arrive Friday, May 28 – anytime after 7PM (those traveling from far away can, of course, come earlier).  There won’t be anything “formal” planned for that evening but arriving the night before will allow you the chance to meet the sisters and get settled before the weekend.  Retreat will conclude after lunch on Sunday, May 29, approximately 2:00 PM or so.

WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?  You will be spending two days with the Sisters during which you will pray with us, attend Mass, hear talks about religious life, see the sisters’ apostolic works within the diocese, play some games and have some quiet time for private prayer and reflection. 

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
• Notebook & pen, prayer books, a rosary, spiritual reading (we have some you can use as well), Liturgy of the Hours book (we will have extras if you don’t have one)
• Toiletries and overnight things
• An open mind and heart which are attentive to the voice of Christ speaking within your heart
